Link-love

I usually leave new links in discreetly on the sidebars: you know, stealthy promotion of other people writing about their lives?

After some serious thinking, I figure it was time to spread some serious link-love. I don’t know if these links would be your cup of tea, but they have meshed well into my reading digest, so here goes:

Good Morning Yesterday
Written by Mr Lam Chun See, whom has witnessed the country’s independence (and the same age as Dad), he tells stories about the country’s past. Would anyone have ever thought that our country transportation was once a diaspora of operators, with cockroach infested buses, speed-happy drivers, and gang-affiliated bus conductors?

Or that KFC used to be a full-fledged restaurant, along with A&W?

Present Simple
Badaunt is a New Zealander who took up expatriate teaching in the Land of the Rising Sun. Read about her daily exploits with interesting Japanese students, as well as sagas with their Senseis. Experience space-time rips and her favourite pastime: books.

Sparklette
Veron is a web designer (though I don’t know whether she does it for a living, or as a side-job) with a craving for visiting restaurants in Singapore. I get treated to saliva-inducing photographs of food, and reviews that just makes me want to go down there - right there and then!

The dull glint of chocolate on desserts is enough to drive a chocolate-fan crazy. Thanks for keeping me off-diet!

Hole In My Head
Another food photographer! My platoon mate until he disrupted from full-time national service for his studies, gonococcus takes enticing photographs of the food that he partakes, as well as his well-known love for his DS lite; as well as draw attention to embarrassing things that I write (all right, it wasn’t that subtle after all).

If you’ll ever notice, there is a common trend in all the recommendations today: Food! I wrote this while waiting for lunch to come, so my recommendation is biased towards eye-catching food. More link-love to come when I feel like writing about it again!
