Time: Person of the Year: YOU

I used to read the Time magazine back in my Junior College days, since they always presented the controversial, and frankly, they were suspiciously anti-Republicans. The award of the year has always been the Person of the Year award. Historically, they have aimed to have people whom have made a significant hit in the headlines (Bill Clinton in 1998, Bill and Melinda Gates last year).
This year, guess where the award has ended up?
Well, it is official. You, me, and every other online content generator ever lived are the Persons of the Year. That means, if you have ever created a web page, written a comment to a blog post, you are Time’s Person of the Year!

I’ll check with Time again.
It is a BIG prize, but I think there are over a few million of us, the last I heard… Hmmm.

Time can talk they talk, but they can’t talk the talk. That slideshow at the top of their story is anything but 2.0. It’s too bad they didn’t ride the wave and do something interesting with the content. I’m sure they love all the bloggers blogging about it though. And maybe that was their goal. So it’s a shame they couldn’t have been a little more…innovative? That is why I vote Time Magazine as the least innovative presenter of an innovative award publisher of the year.
And since they didn’t, I did: Time Magazine Person of the Year cover generator

Well, perhaps it is because they were not anticipating the link-baiting? Or were they just secretly plotting for the Blogosphere to come up with a better award than they did so that they can demonstrate the power of the Internet? Am I thinking too far?
At any rate, I like your cover generator a lot, thanks!
